Information to record

Use these prompts to agree the record for your project. Keep the answers and their source references together; leave an unknown value explicit rather than filling it with an assumption.

Asset reference
Identify the tree ID used by the property team.
Source advice
Record the report and issue date behind each action.
Responsible role
Name who arranges follow-up.
Review trigger
Retain the practitioner’s specified timing or conditions.
Update process
Explain how later work records will be attached.

Checks for this task

  1. Distinguish professional recommendation from booking status.
  2. Retain earlier records when adding a completion note.
  3. Check that a new staff member can identify a sample tree from the handover.

A worked example

Illustrative example, not a client case: A facility manager inherits an inventory after a staffing change. A sample walk-through matches the map, tree ID and issued action, while a separate column records whether the work has been booked.

Scope and limits

This is a record-management brief; the inventory does not automatically monitor condition or revise professional recommendations.

Use the worksheet

The download contains the prompts and checks above with space for your project notes. It is a plain text document you can edit in a text editor or copy into your project brief. It contains no client information and does not run calculations, import records or change an account.
