Information to record
Use these prompts to agree the record for your project. Keep the answers and their source references together; leave an unknown value explicit rather than filling it with an assumption.
- Weather window
- Record the forecast and actual conditions relevant to the visit.
- Equipment protection
- List suitable protection and handling arrangements.
- Evidence quality
- Note rain, glare or water affecting photographs.
- Deferred scope
- Identify observations or areas not completed.
- Return arrangement
- State who will review incomplete records.
Checks for this task
- Follow site safety arrangements and reassess access if conditions change.
- Inspect photographs for obscured features before leaving the area.
- Label deferred work explicitly rather than marking it complete.
A worked example
Illustrative example, not a client case: Rain obscures a close-up photograph and prevents a clear view of a feature. The record retains the visit date, explains the limitation and lists the photograph for another visit instead of substituting a confident conclusion.
Scope and limits
This is record preparation, not a weather safety assessment; the responsible people must determine whether the visit can proceed safely.
Use the worksheet
The download contains the prompts and checks above with space for your project notes. It is a plain text document you can edit in a text editor or copy into your project brief. It contains no client information and does not run calculations, import records or change an account.
