Information to record
Use these prompts to agree the record for your project. Keep the answers and their source references together; leave an unknown value explicit rather than filling it with an assumption.
- Visit duration
- Estimate the field session and travel time.
- Starting charge
- Record charge at the start of the trial.
- Trial workload
- Describe screen, photo and map activity.
- Power equipment
- List compatible chargers and power banks.
- Interruption plan
- Agree how records will be checked if the device stops.
Checks for this task
- Check charging compatibility before leaving for the site.
- Measure consumption during a representative sample session.
- Save and review the last records before a planned power interruption.
A worked example
Illustrative example, not a client case: A tablet lasts through desk testing but the field trial uses the screen continuously. The team adjusts its charging arrangements using that observed workload and retains a documented handover if a device must be replaced.
Scope and limits
Trial results apply to the tested device and workload; they are not a guaranteed runtime or a substitute for safe equipment use.
Use the worksheet
The download contains the prompts and checks above with space for your project notes. It is a plain text document you can edit in a text editor or copy into your project brief. It contains no client information and does not run calculations, import records or change an account.
