Information to record
Use these prompts to agree the record for your project. Keep the answers and their source references together; leave an unknown value explicit rather than filling it with an assumption.
- Tree record source
- Identify the inventory, inspection date and limitations.
- Design set
- List current drawings and revisions.
- Works information
- Describe relevant proposed changes above and below ground.
- Assessment questions
- State decisions the project team needs to resolve.
- Missing inputs
- List documents or details still outstanding.
Checks for this task
- Keep draft options clearly separate from the selected proposal.
- Ask the consultant which technical details are needed before assessment.
- Check that the issued report identifies the input versions used.
A worked example
Illustrative example, not a client case: A project supplies a site plan but no details for a proposed underground route. The input register lists that omission, allowing the consultant to request relevant information instead of treating the plan as a complete description of works.
Scope and limits
This worksheet does not perform calculations, establish impact acceptability or replace professional assessment.
Use the worksheet
The download contains the prompts and checks above with space for your project notes. It is a plain text document you can edit in a text editor or copy into your project brief. It contains no client information and does not run calculations, import records or change an account.
